NCLUG at BrickUniverse Raleigh, 10th Anniversary

On June 29th and 30th, members of NCLUG descended upon the Raleigh Convention Center to take part in the 10th Anniversary of BrickUniverse in Raleigh! It was a wonderful showing, with 14 members displaying their creations, across over 40+ tables, for large crowds across 4 public showing periods during the weekend. With MOCs from traveling artists as well as AFOLs and LEGO enthusiasts from across the Southeast, the crowds were delighted with an awesome show. Big thanks to the entire BrickUniverse team for making this a wonderful experience for presenters and show goers!

Thanks to all of our exhibitors!

The NCLUG exhibits brought home many awards from the weekend. Below are the winners and their builds.

With his large castle build of over 120,000 bricks, Richard brought home Best Medieval as well as the People’s Choice Award, where the public voted on their favorite build of 12 entries. Congrats Richard!

Nick brought his awesome Mecha Knights castle, which won the Best in Show award from BrickUniverse!!

Hoss brought this great Blacktron Outpost that takes us back to themes of yesteryear! This was selected as the Organizers’ Choice.

Szymond built this unbelieveable Jabba’s palace with all sorts of motion, moving parts, and lights. It had a large crowd around it for the majority of the weekend and was well deserved of the Best Star Wars build!

This collection of habitat builds is a small portion of the collection of habitats that NCLUG has created over the years to exhibit at shows. Last year at Bricksboro, we had over 40! These MOCs, created by Matt, Charlie, Andrew, Nick, and Hillary won the Best Habitat award.

Taking home the Best Town award was a spectacular build by Ryan, showcasing his love for pirates!

Best Large Build award was deservedly won by Dan’s great castle build. He plans to make this even larger for Bricksboro!
